90% Of Broken Tooth Are Accident!

Broken Tooth happens when you chew on something hard or have had a trauma. For kids, falling off their bikes can result in fracture tooth.

It happens to one of my sons, when he was 8 years old, he fell off his bike because the front wheel hit the curb sending him to the pavement.

Luckily for him, that was his first set of teeth. The Dentist couldn't save them so he pulled them out. My son was without his front teeth for awhile. A few months later, we could see the new teeth emerge.

Treatment for Broken Tooth

- If the break is just the enamel part, your Dental Provider can repair it with filling.

- In more severe cases, when the inner parts of the tooth are exposed, the tooth will need a root canal and a crown.

- Sometimes, surgery will be needed before you can have a crown.

- The worse outcome is when the root is cracked. Then a surgical extraction is mandatory. Only an implant or a bridge will correct the situation.

Broken Tooth is caused more from an accident than a Dental Disorder.

If any Dental injury happens to you, or one of your family members, minor or major fractures must be seen by your Dental Provider and treated immediately. They are Dental Emergencies.
